The year was 1953. The Korean War was near its end, Chevrolet gave us
a new sports car called
Corvette and Geneva first started engineering and manufacturing casket hardware. For half a century,
Geneva Manufacturing has been an industry leader in providing quality casket hardware in a timely manner
at a competitive price to manufacturers internationally. In 1953, we started the casket hardware business with a line of hand-poured zinc designs. We led with zinc designs with such examples as:M1, M24, M58, and M71. |

As the industry changed so did our customers' needs. In 1971, our customers were looking to cut cost from the
current use of electroplating. After analyzing the cost savings for our customers, we started vacuum metallizing
an example of helping our customers' bottom line. Using our existing product lines and/or products sent from
outside sources, we started metallizing and finishing products to meet our customer needs at lower cost. In 1977, Geneva Manufacturing was one of the leaders introducing polycarbonate designs. Examples are: M100, M240, M200, and 200T. |

| In order to provide our customers with the best casket hardware we looked at different material, cost comparison of those materials, and cost to process. We selected polycarbonate as the material to use because we felt this offered our customers the strongest material for the casket hardware. Even though this material was at a higher cost, it was still a cost savings to our customer versus the hand-poured zinc. Geneva Manufacturing has prided itself over the years to be able to meet the demands and changes that occur in our industry.
